This device is also a complete nutritional center – it is entirely possible to create fresh juices, extrude pasta, grind spices, and make frozen desserts that taste delicious.

Industry Leading Juicer
Omega NC800 Juicer Extractor and Nutrition Center
This 6th generation Omega juicer replaces the previous 8007/8008 series. It is a very versatile appliance from a reputable brand that can make a variety of food. But more importantly, it’s a slow juicer that reduces the heat and oxidation in the juice it produces to help preserve all the vitamins and nutrients from fruits and vegetables.

Introduction

This multi-purpose kitchen appliance from Omega has a solid reputation for getting the job done. Omega juicers have been a staple in the juicing world for many years, and their products are recognized for being some of the best in class. If you are looking to start a healthier lifestyle, this is certainly be one of the best products to look at purchasing for your household.

One of the nicest things about this multi-purpose Omega Juice Extractor is that it serves as an appliance for multiple purposes. Instead of having to purchase several different appliances, you can actually just purchase this Omega NC800 Juice Extractor and still have access to other useful tools that will assist you in the kitchen. It can make nut butter, baby food, extrude pasta, and more.

In order to produce an accurate review of this appliance, we looked at hundreds of user reviews to understand what long time owners think of the product. We also looked at dozens of videos of the product in action, and read countless comparison tables to make sure we were using accurate data.

Omega NC800 vs NC900

The first thing you should be aware of is that the NC800 comes in different colors, and each has a different model number. This can be confusing for new buyers, and we certainly were wondering what the differences between all those models were. It turns out, it’s only the color that changes. If you decide to buy any of those models, you can rest assured that you’re getting the same hardware.

  • NC800 HDS: Silver plastic finish
  • NC800 HDR: Red plastic finish
  • NC900 HDC: Chrome finish

Omega decided to change the model number from NC800 to NC900 for the chrome finish. But again, this is not a newer model – it’s the exact same hardware that you get between the NC800 and NC900 models. The NC800 has a plastic finish, whereas the NC900 is a bit more expensive, but has an all-metal finish.

All About the Omega NC800

The Omega NC800 Juice Extractor has several impressive features. The masticating dual-stage extraction system is slow and effective at ensuring that all of the important nutrients and vitamins remain in the juice that is extracted by the appliance. This extraction system operates at only 80 RPM, which reduces heat buildup and oxidation, producing a juice that you can keep in the fridge for a couple of days without losing any of its properties.

This juicer is compatible with just about any leafy vegetable and many different types of citrus fruits. Wheatgrass is also a popular choice among customers who enjoy a fresh glass of green juice.

In addition to being able to make juice, the NC800 is a full-fledged nutrition center with several additional purposes that might serve you well in the kitchen. These options include the ability to extrude pasta or grind coffee. Baby food and frozen desserts can also be made simply by changing the juicing strainer to the processing strainer and selecting the right nozzle.

One of the nice touches on this device is the adjustable pressure cap that allows you to configure your device for optimal juice extraction. The powerful juicer motor is efficient and quiet so that you won’t have to worry about loud sounds during your juicing session. Unlike centrifugal juicers, masticating juicers like the NC800 are much more quiet during operation. An automatic pulp ejection feature is also included so that you can control the amount of pulp in your juice.

The design is relatively compact, but its horizontal build makes it a bit more bulky in the kitchen compared to other juicers like the Hurom HP Slow Juicer that sport a vertical build. Another defining trait of the Omega juicer is it’s incredible 15-year limited warranty. We haven’t seen a longer warranty on a juicer yet, and this is a great guarantee from Omega that the construction of the appliance is sturdy and will last you many years.

While the Omega NC800 is on the higher end of the price range, it’s a great high-end appliance for the serious juicer.

Our Omega NC800 Review

We found one of the most interesting aspect of the Omega NC800 Juice Extractor to be its versatility. The many different attachments that are included in the box add a lot of value for customers that are looking for a multi-purpose appliance to install in their household. While it isn’t able to mince meat like the Tribest Slowstar SW-2000, you can use it to make noodles and even bread sticks.

We think the assembly process is relatively simple. You first need to install the auger into the drum, followed by the juicing strainer, the drum cap and the adjustable pressure cap. While there are many parts that must be assembled, it is pretty straightforward. The quality of the juice that comes out of the extractor is also excellent. The pulp ejection system as well as the adjustable pressure cap can help you make your juice just like you want it.

At 80 RPM, the strong juicer motor is extremely effective and powerful, but it still manages to stay quiet enough to prevent it from becoming annoying. While there are slower juicers around, which is a quality researched by many purists, they are also slow to produce juice. Omega strikes a good balance here with the NC800.

Unfortunately, it is recommended to clean this device by hand after using it and to avoid placing the parts in the dishwasher. This makes cleaning a bit less efficient. Simply wash the auger and all the other parts in warm soapy water in your kitchen sink and rinse them. It is also important to clean the juicer after each use to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria.

Besides not being dishwasher-safe, the other downside that we could find about the Omega is its significant price tag. We do think however that the quality of the juicer, along with its performance and versatility, justify this for the serious juicing enthusiast. We understand why it’s one of the most popular high-end juicer on the market!

What Owners Think

The Omega brand is a favorite in the juicing world. We have found hundreds of positive reviews that are discussing the impressive value and quality that the NC800 offers. One of the most popular feature among owners is ability to use it to do much more that juice.

Additionally, many users appreciated the fact that Omega has taken durability fairly seriously. They have designed this appliance with durable materials and long-lasting features that are unlikely to fail. In the unlikely scenario that a parts failure does occur, all customers are granted a complimentary 15-year product warranty for their Omega NC800 Juice Extractor. There are very few warranties that offer coverage for 15 years, but Omega has impressed many new customers with this significant product warranty.

Owners are also finding the juicer simple to use, despite the assembly process and the fact that it must be hand-washed. Amazon has even decided to recommend this item to new buyers.

While just about everything regarding this product is positive, some customers did express their concerns about the significantly higher price range. If there was one individual thing that could be improved, we think a slightly more generous price tag could improve the overall popularity of the Omega NC800 Juice Extractor.

Owners Really Like

  • Quiet and efficient motor
  • All components are included, no parts are sold separately
  • Long-lasting product warranty

What Could Be Improved

  • It’s expensive
  • Some owners have experienced durability issues
  • Despite the 80 RPM motor, it’s not as fast as other slow juicers

Bottom Line

Our final verdict for the Omega NC800 Juice Extractor is very positive and we believe it could be a great addition to your kitchen for many different reasons. The compact & multi-purpose design is ideal for people that are looking for an all-in-one appliance that can do more that just juice. While durability is always a concern for a machine in this price range, the product warranty more than makes up for any potential breakage. Omega’s reputable 15-year warranty should put the most anxious mind at rest. This Omega NC800 Juice Extractor could be a great purchase decision if you are looking for a professionally designed multi-purpose kitchen appliance that can transform your routine into a daily lifestyle that is filled with healthy beverages and tasty snacks.
